Compact Orbital Gears is recognised worldwide for the design and manufacture of high quality transmission solutions.

Our epicyclic and parallel shaft gearboxes are produced for a wide range of automotive, aeronautic, industrial, power, marine, wind turbine and military applications with power outputs from 1 to 15,000kW at speeds from 2.5 to 120,000rpm (2,000 revs per second).

Each of our gearboxes is tested and developed in our comprehensive test facility which is also available for testing customers' transmissions.

Compact Orbital Gears is best known for the design and manufacture of epicycylic gearboxes. By employing a unique load-sharing device, which produces full balanced tooth loading on all the running gears, we are able to offer smaller, lighter and more efficient gearboxes.

Compact Orbital Gears design and manufacture high specification parallel shaft gearboxes, offering simplicity of design and the benefit of vertical or horizontal offset options.

We produce on a one-off or batch production basis and we can offer gearing to suit any of your requirements. Detailed design proposals and feasibility studies can be carried out to provide an answer to your needs.
